Welcome to Lua Hadar’s Voyager Project 2016 and onward. Please stay with us as this develops.

As I continue my Voyage as a human, as a Buddhist, as an artist, as a musician, as an armchair anthropologist and student of history and a galvanized activist, as a friend, as a partner, as a teacher, and most of all as a singer and fledgling songwriter, I am challenged to make meaning of what occurs in the world, filter it through my own lens, and sing it back. I have a lot to say and I was born in the form to say it in song. This is what I’m trying to do. I also need to dare to say “writer” – my mother would be proud to hear me try that on. I’m grateful for the many responses I’ve received on my blog series Nomad Notes. It will continue.

The first piece of our project had its successful debut on May 26, 2018, at the San Francisco International Arts Festival, with the premiere of our new music video in a live concert.

The music video, set to Lua’s original song, Our Common Humanity, is the centerpiece of the Voyager Project.
